However, now more than ever, we can’t do it alone. We rely on the ongoing support of listeners like you to keep our station running and our message alive. By becoming a supporter today, you’re not just backing a radio station; you’re investing in a movement for change. Together, let’s keep Radio Skid Row on the airwaves and where it belongs – in the heart of our community.
Because we understand that many of us are doing it tough – we have developed a tiered system of support which values even the smallest of donations – every dollar counts! Additionally, supporters can enjoy great value for their contribution by receiving a supporter pack containing exclusive Skid Row merchandise. Following is a list of the different ways you can support and what they entitle you to!
Radio Skid Row Supporter
- Supporter $40 – You will receive a pack containing stickers, access to our newsletter, and discount tickets to 2RSR events.
- Proud Supporter $85 – You will receive a pack containing stickers, access to our newsletter, discount tickets to 2RSR events, and a 2024 2RSR limited edition tote bag.
- Passionate Supporter $120 – You will receive a pack containing stickers, access to our newsletter, discount tickets to 2RSR events, a 2024 2RSR limited edition tote bag and hat.
NEW! Program Patron
You can now show your love for your favourite program on 2RSR by becoming a “Program Patron”. Additionally, if you represent an organisation or business, you can now throw your support behind a specific program and receive some great benefits.
- Program Patron (Individuals) $195 – You will receive a pack containing a certificate of appreciation, stickers, a 2024 2RSR limited edition tote bag and a weekly ‘thank you’ on the show of your choice.
- Program Patron (Organisations) $350 – You will receive a pack containing a certificate of appreciation, stickers, a weekly ‘thank you’ on the show of your choice, and your name & logo listed on our website.
- Program Patron (Businesses) $600 – You will receive a pack containing a certificate of appreciation, stickers, a weekly ‘thank you’ on the show of your choice, and your name & logo listed on our website.
One-off donation
As always, you can make a one-off donation of any amount. Radio Skid Row deeply appreciates any contribution, big or small. Every dollar from the community helps ensure we can keep the lights on and fund the important projects that have made Radio Skid Row such a hub of community activity for decades.

Radio Skid Row is listener supported radio!
When the station was established, it operated on a budget of around $30,000 per year. However, in today’s landscape, we require more than ten times this amount to maintain operations and continue serving our community. In the past, we have organised an annual fundraiser, seeking one-off donations to cover our costs. However, we are now focused on securing a more stable future for the next generation of media activists. We aim to achieve this by establishing a community of supporters who contribute annually to the station.

We want to encourage the people who have donated with us previously to become annual supporters or program patrons. Because we understand that many of us are doing it tough – we have developed a tiered system of giving which values even the smallest of donations. Every dollar counts.
How does becoming an annual supporter work?
When you become an annual supporter, you make a commitment to contribute a set amount to Radio Skid Row each year. The payment will not renew automatically, instead you will be sent an annual email giving you the option to renew or discontinue your contribution. As an annual supporter, you become part of a dedicated community that helps sustain the station’s operations and ensure its longevity. Your support enables us to continue amplifying diverse voices, covering important issues, and serving our community. Additionally, annual supporters receive a “Supporter pack” and special perks as a token of our appreciation for their ongoing commitment.
What’s the difference between a station supporter or a program patron?
Program Patrons are a new model of support that we are introducing to provide supporters with a way to demonstrate their strong support for a specific program on Radio Skid Row. Whether you’re an individual, organisation, or business, you can become a patron of a particular program, directly contributing to its sustainability and growth. As a Program Patron, you play a vital role in ensuring that your chosen program continues to thrive and fulfil its mission of informing, entertaining, and engaging our audience. Your support not only helps keep the program on the air but also enables it to expand its reach and impact within the community. Additionally, Program Patrons will receive a “Patron Pack”, as well a weekly “thank you” on their show of choice, and their organisation or business name listed on our website.
More about Radio Skid Row
A pioneer in First Nations and Ethnic broadcasting, Radio Skid Row laid the groundwork for both Koori Radio and the ethnic radio station, 2000 FM in Sydney. Recently, this legacy received recognition from the Australian Film and Sound Archives, which inducted the station’s recordings from the 1988 Bicentennial protests into the esteemed Sounds of Australia collection. Radio Skid Row’s globally-recognized training programs have empowered thousands with media skills, bridging gaps for those who may not otherwise access such opportunities.
