2021 has been another tough year for everyone, including at Radio Skid Row where we were recovering from the 2020 lockdown and its after effects – including a huge online fundraiser that was overwhelmingly successful, saw our broadcasters and community band together, but left us drained. The fundraiser was originally planned for October 2021 but with the almost four month lockdown hitting us from July-October, we have postponed this until 2022. The Radio Skid Row team is planning ahead for 2022 and, as always, relies on the support of our community, broadcasters, volunteers, sponsors and listeners. There are many ways you can help including becoming a member, a sponsor, a volunteer and a donor. Thank you to all of those who have supported us already and have helped us stay on air.

Radio Skid Row believes in a world where there is media justice. Not just “diversity” but media justice – where it’s not just about who is on screens or behind the mic, but who gets to decide the stories we see and hear. We are striving to maintain a vital broadcasting lifeline for the community, by the community. Radio Skid Row’s role within the media sector in Sydney has become more crucial than ever, and while we’ve survived 2020 we continue to fight to stay on air for many years to come.
